Self-Sufficiency is seeking donations of new school supplies for distribution
to hundreds of children during the month of August. New backpacks, crayons, pencils, erasers,
glue sticks, scissors, pens, spiral notebooks, and loose-leaf paper would be deeply
appreciated. Monetary donations to be
used towards the purchase of supplies will also be gratefully received through
Wednesday, August 17th.

Learn about Divorce at a Free Seminar
Project Self-Sufficiency will sponsor a free seminar about issues related
to Family Law on Wednesday, June 13th, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the agency’s
campus, located at 127 Mill Street in Newton.
The program will address child
support, grounds for divorce, court procedures, custody, alimony, parenting
time, equitable distribution of assets, and other topics related to
divorce. The presentation, which will be
facilitated by Dina Mikulka, Esquire, is free and open to the public, but

Free Health Care Careers Seminar this Month
A free seminar about health care careers will be
offered to teens and adults on Wednesday, May 30th, from 6:30 – 8:00
p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency. Dr. Tim
Parker will be joined by Registered Nurse Lisa Ferrante and Sussex County
Community College Director of Admissions Todd Poltersdorf for a discussion of
the background, education and the skills necessary for success. Questions from the audience will be
welcome. “Becoming You: Health Care Careers” will explore educational
and professional opportunities in vocations such as nurse, dentist, physician,
EKG technician, medical assistant, phlebotomist and other medical careers. The seminar is free and open to teens and
adults, but registration is required. Interested
