Project Self-Sufficiency will host a series of free financial literacy workshops for women featuring guest speaker Suzanne Troiano in October and November.  In person sessions will be held Tuesdays, October 17th and November 14th, 1:00 p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency. A virtual workshop will be offered Wednesday, November 1st, 6:00 p.m.  Participants will learn how to make and save money, reduce debt, set up estate plans, and understand life insurance, college and retirement plans. Troiano, Regional Vice President at Primeria Financial Services has more than 20 years of experience teaching financial literacy and helping clients to make informed decisions about managing their money. Free, Virtual Bankruptcy Seminar this Month

Project Self-Sufficiency will host a free, virtual Bankruptcy seminar, Thursday, May 18th, 7:00 p.m.  Participants will discuss the process of filing for bankruptcy, as well as the options available to those facing overwhelming credit card debt, foreclosure, or asset repossession with an attorney.  The free legal education seminar is a program of the Journey Family Success Center at Project Self-Sufficiency.  The presentation is free and open to the public; interested participants must call Project Self-Sufficiency, 973-940-3500, to obtain log-in information.

Get Help Managing Finances

Those who need help understanding credit scores, setting up checking accounts, establishing budgets, and setting financial goals are invited to participated in virtual Financial Literacy workshops offered by Project Self-Sufficiency, Thursdays, October 27th, November 3rd and November 10th, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.  Workshops will address credit scores, credit reports, checking and savings account, credit cards, loans, lines of credit, financial goals, and overcoming debt.  The Financial Literacy workshops are free and open to the public.  Interested participants are invited to call Project Self-Sufficiency, 973-940-3500, to obtain log-in details.  Workshops are a program of the Journey Family Success Center at Project Self-Sufficiency.  To find out more information about the programs and services available at the agency, visit www.projectselfsufficiency.org or call 973-940-3500.
